Under the domain publicpen.com I've several dozen sites in
subdiretories, such as www.publicpen.com/honenbeger. I've no trouble
with any of these sites. But under one, which I put in yesterday,
www.publicpen.com/staengl, when I point my browser there, the browser,
instead of showing me the index.htm pages like it should, it instead
tries to download it as an object. Why?

We want to offer a 100 Mb file for download but are concerned over modem
users who cannot finish the download. Is there any way to implement a
download manager in JS? Looking for something simple that can handle
resuming downloads.

Hi all
I have an ASP.net website that uses an aspx page locate and stream a file to an authenticated user and I'm getting the error
Aspnet_wp.exe (PID:XXXX) stopped unexpectedly
which the user sees as the Server Unavailable page
I am aware of problems using Response.BinaryWrite or Response.WriteFile to download large files and so opted for the chunked method described in the KB article 812406

I try to use custom download page (download.aspx) wich writes file (about
700Mb) to response. But I can download only one file from one IP at the same
time.
I think that this is IIS or ASP.NET limits but I'm not sure.
How can I fix this or change limits?

I'm trying to find a control for downloading from my website.
What I want to do is allow users to download quite a large file, use the
Save As dialog so they can place the file where they like. But *not* use the
download dialog. What I want is to display my site with a frame showing
download progress.
The idea being that if they navigate away from my site, the download stops.

I have been on the quest to find a php script that can serve files for downloads and limit the speed at which the file is transfered to the user. I want a faster download speed for registered members and a slower speed for guests.
The only other thing I can think of is using the header() function to force a download for the requested file type and stream the file to the user's browser. Then using sleep() or usleep()...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
