Could someone tell me how I can read excel csv (comma separated variable)
file using C#? I know how to do it by parsing each line myself. Since
reading excel csv file in C# is a pretty common technique, I just wonder
whether there is a class or a way to do it out there already.

i use the following code to read excel
Set ExcelConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
Set ExcelRS = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")

sSQL = "SELECT * FROM "
set ExcelRS = ExcelConn.Execute(sSQL)
it work fine for those cell that contained string , but once the cell is numeric, i cant get anything in the cell. How can i solve this problem.

Hi all:
I am trying to read an Excel Worksheet that ahs been created as a form and I
cannot seem to get the data. Reading worksheets when the data is organized
into rows and columns works fine, but I cannot seem to figure out what the
data structure of the form looks like.
Can anyone point me at an example of this?

I'm wanting to populate a drop-down based on the contents of one column in an Excel file, and then submit the file to a PHP script.
I've gotten PHP to read and process the Excel file fine (phpexcelreader - excellent, but poor documentation), but I can't find any JavaScript scripts which can read Excel files w/o using ActiveX. I believe ActiveX only runs on IE in Windows - is there another alternative?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
