I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been able to solve my problem. I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has many Access reports. I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a pdf file and save it to the user's machine. I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi all, I'm trying to create a system where it reads a number of records from a database and then creates a row in the GUI that contains a single field from the database and a button that has a reference to the record. This way, once the task has been accomplished, the button can be pressed next to the field and a time-stamp is placed into the database. Can anyone point me in the direction of either a tutorial or

I want to display a pre-designed graphical 'performance badge' on certain webpages (round, about 2cm diameter) next to a salesperson's details. I have a function, fGetPerformanceGrade(SalesPersonID as Long) as String to retrieve that salesperson's grade (e.g. A+, A, A-, B+, B... D). Also one other function, fGetMonthlySales(SalesPersonID as Long) as String to get their sales figure, e.g. "$87K". I want web visitors to be able to click...

I am having trouble making a save function that works at runtime. Ideally it should save the progress made on the form and allow for the user to open it up and continue their work. Any ideas on how to save the form to be reused? I have tried to save as a .vbp file and .exe but have had no luck. Thanks in advance.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
