crystal report and sub report

hi all,
i'm using vb6 and crystal report9. i just created a report.it works well. and i included one sub report to it and i passed the current date in it's "group header section " as

Private Sub Subreport1_GroupHeaderSection2_Format(ByVal pFormattingInfo As Object)
psql = "select current_date"
Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(psql)
a = rs(1)
Subreport1_Text1.SetText (a)
end sub
 

it runs well for the first time. i mean when i open the main report and then the sub report it works well. when i close the sub report and re-open it, it does not show the date i passed. it shows nothing.
how to call the subreport1_grou pheadersection2 _format again whenever i open the subreport. it should show all the time i reopen it.
can anybody help me. i haven't used the sub report before, so little bit unknown about it,

I searched and could not find anything for ya. But I did find a piece of code, not sure of the legality of it; please have a look, see if you get any ideas:-)
