How to round off to only two decimal places?

Hi all,

I am using some variables as "Double" and some text boxes set "DataFormat " property to "Number with two decimal points" for currency calculations.

I perform some typical mathematical operations on them and in some cases I see result having more than two decimal points.

How can I restrict or round-of to only two decimal places.

I'm using VB6.

You'll most likely want to use the Format() function. There are a few possbilities; you may need to play around with it. You can try the named formats "Fixed" or "Currency", or make up your own format. Example: Format(123.456, "Fixed") shows "123.46" (rounded up).
Some formats such as "Currency" depend on your regional settings.

Exactly same way we can define decimal places also in "Number" format, an optional -ve sign is also there. It works also fine I believe.
If you give an integer to it, it'll add two 0s at end of it.

In my case a recursive process is updating text field and result is 7-10 decimal places occur. I think it may be a reason it automatically jumps out of the format defined.

I can round-off upto 2 decimal places in code but I dont want to if it can be done automatically.

I have a problem that I can't seem to solve. I have checked the round, ceil and floor functions and they don't seem to do what I want. I have an entry like this <?php $tax = .065; $ad2day = 104.50; $ad2day = round(($ad2day * $tax)+ $ad2day, 2);

Can anybody tell me why I am getting rounding errors using the ROUND function. 3.7125 rounds to 3.70 when I use the following: TRUNCATE(ROUND(units_pay_amount * fees_amount, 2),2))) The correct value should be 3.71 I could round to the 3rd decimal place ROUND(X,3) and that would round it correctly to 3.71 but that would mean I would have to change the ROUND function in another

The folllowing will round to 526, but it should round to 527. It works correctly for all other numbers, except for this one. Does anybody know of a bug in Math.Round? Dim ldecWater As Decimal = 526.5 CType(Math.Round(ldecWater, 0), String) -- Chris Davoli

I have been using a round command in a few places to round a value to zero decimal places using the following format, round('+value+', 0) but this consistantly returns the rounded result of the value to one decimal place with a zero EG:

I have a program in which I need to take a numeric value for dollars. There is a "set" function that must screen the value for the following 3 conditions with the indicated handling functionality: 1. Non-negative ==set to $0.00 2. Out of range (more than 10 digits to represent) ==set to $0.00 3. More than 2 decimal places ==truncate to 2. I have the first two cases down.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
