Hi All,
I am trying to hide my JavaScript source. The method I chose was to
keep all the important source in a password protected folder, and then
use a SRC="folder/script.js" to include it in my code. This way, the
script will run, but the user will be unable to view the included
code. Or so I think :).
I have tried this method, and it seems to work. However, I would like

hi..I'm working on a project that requires files to be password
protected on a UNIX based site. The people that own the web site want
to be able to change the password every so often. Unfortunately, I
have restricted access only to FTP so I really can't log in to any kind
of Administrative Console or Admin Panel and see if there are folders
that can be password protected and then have passwords changed on them.
The people I'm contracted...

I have a frontend that has some tables which are linked to a backend.
Now I want to make the backend password protected and when I try to
run it password protected I can't open it. In the first form that
opens in the front end, I added the following to the form_open event:
Dim cnn As ADODB.connection
Set cnn = New ADODB.connection
cnn.Provider = "Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0"
cnn.Properties("Data Source") = "C:\backend.mdb"

hello
I am trying to enumerate the shared folders on a server using the
NetShareEnum function.
Now, when the server has a password set to access the shared folders,
the function returns system error code 5 (access denied).
However, if I know the password to access the shares, how can I specify
that in my program?

Hi, My question is regarding password protecting 2 different folders
inside a single virtual directory using forms authentication method.
Easier if I illustrate things out...
- <authentication mode="Forms">
- Virtual Directory aka Top Level Root = /mysite
- Inside /mysite I have 2 sub-folders which I want to password protect
= /adminonly and /memberonly
- /adminonly is assigned to a single Admin user with a hard-coded pair
of username...

I need to create a simple asp.net application that use password protect some
html pages. The html page provider doesn't know asp.net. And the host doesn't
allow me to create user accounts.
What's the best way to store users/password except database tables? and to
store html files?

Hi
I have been using two forms of password protection:
A) On working web sites I use an ASP script that is included in every page
requiring protection: uses session - works fine
B) On quick test sites or temporary stuff I use the Windows Network
Authentication provided by my web host. A whole folder is protected at once
which is very convenient but it has a problem. If a user types the wrong

Yay guys!
I hope you all are having a warm fuzzy loveable day.
The following questions are kind of related to this thread:
Protect files (on web server) from web admin.
If one has password protected zip file:
1) where would the content temporary be extracted to (probably the OS designated temp directory, right?)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
