Internet Usage Meter

1 New Member
My ISP gives me unlimited usage anytime except between 6.00pm and 11.00pm between these hours I have a 20 gig download limit.

I need a programme to monitor my usage during these times.
I am using an application called DUmeter but this registers the usage all the time and rests in the system tray.

I have written a programme in vb5 to turn it on at a given time but because DUmeter rests in the system tray near the clock I cannot acess it to turn it off with the sendkeys statement.
Can anyone help me?
or is there another program out there?

Is there a way to check my site's bandwidth usage via PHP? I'd like to "gracefully bail" if I start to get near my host's limit. Its running on a shared Linux box, on Apache 1.3.31 and PHP v4.3.3 as a module. Thanks. -- -- Rudy Fleminger -- sp@mmers.and.evil.ones.will.bow-down-to.us (put "Hey!" in the Subject line for priority processing!)

**** A CHALLENGE TO THE GURUS - refute the statement "It's impossible to build a file upload progress meter using ASP.NET" **** First person to prove me wrong gets "All Time .NET Programming GOD" listing in my address book and (optionally) their name listed on my "news" page of my birtle.com website (listed as "Jane Smith is a Programming GOD") for at least a month. Why not take a moment to read more and possibly boost your ego to all time...

In I.E. 6 (and probably other versions as well), there is a sort of progress meter in the panel at the bottom of the window. This meter increments a few pixels at a time when the browser is trying to connect or do some other operation that is taking more than a few seconds. My suspicion is that there is no way that this "progress meter" can actually be metering anything meaningful (at least with respect to whatever is being downloaded or...

My app contains utility meter usage. One of the things we have to deal with is when a usage is clearly incorrect. Perhaps someone wrote the meter reading down incorrectly or made a factor of 10 error when entering the reading, etc. At other times the usage is zero or somehow was entered as a negative number. So I'm thinking about adding functionality to search for such anomalies. For instance, show months where the meter reading is...

Many Access Users fail to realize that it has a built-in Progress Meter that can display the relative completion percentage of various processes. It is fairly limited, but nonetheless, does provide visual feedback indicating the percent completion of a certain task. The Meter itself, when activated, rests on the left hand corner of the Status Bar and is controlled via the SysCmd() Method. It is straightforward, simple to use, and involves only...

Hello everyone. I am working on a Password Strength Meter and I am running into 1 problem that I would like to fix. When pressing the "Clear Password & Try Again" button, the password clears out of the text box, but the meter will stay at its current position until text is entered back into the textbox. Once text is re-entered, the meter will display the results again. I would like everything to reset when the button is pushed, but I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
