Hi guys,
I am looking for a way to customize the user interface during the product
deployment in Visual Studio.
The requirement is: during the installation, display a radiobutton dialog
for some installation options, and depend on what the user choose, the
following rendered dialog will be different.
This is a reasonable requirement, But in Visual Studio, I can't locate a
means to display costomized interface depend on condition .

Does anybody know of a single source of information (book, article etc) on
setup/deployment projects? I've got the old Wrox Deployment one, but I'm
tired of never finding what I'm looking for.

Hi,
i'm workin on a deployment project... i added two custom screen to make some
tasks.
1) I need that user insert a serial number for my setup.. next i check the
validity of this serial by a function that returns true if the serial is
valid.. or false if not. Next i want my user interface to stop installation
while the seial is not a valid one. Now, i know how to pass the string of
the serial to my funtion but i dont know how to stop...

application is being deployed using No-Touch deployment. The objective
in utilizing this new deployment method is to reduce the maintenance
overhead as well as making it easier for my users to setup and run the
application initially. I have VS 2002, Windows XP, Access XP(2000
format).

I have created a Setup and Deployment project in Visual Studio.NET 2003.
After my installation has completed running I'd like to launch the EXE that I
just
installed. I've found how to launch the EXE in the Custom Actions area of
the Setup and Deployment project. Unfortunately when the EXE is launched
it causes the setup program to stay open until the EXE has been exited.
Anyone have any ideas how to launch the EXE and get the setup...

Hello, I 'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question in
but, I using MS' suggested method of using their setup.exe and settings.ini
to deploy dotnetfx.exe with my deployment package. My question is, there are
settings in the Config.ini file that I'd like to know how to change but
can't find any info on. For instance, I would like to change the following
line:
IDS_SETUP_SUCCEEDED=Setup succeeded.
to keep the setup...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
