Fonts not available in .NET

WDS
Hello something weird happens to me. I have Windows Server 2003 with all the
fonts installed and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. When I create a
report on Visual Studio .NET (rpt), I can't see all the fonts available in
Windows, and I can see those fonts on Microsoft Word when I create a
document. How can I make the fonts available? I only can see 3 fonts. Does
this happen because I have a HP printer installed? I have a HP 1320
installed.

Thanks for your help

I have just recompiled, upgraded to PHP 4.3.4. As an exercise (and curiosity) I've decided to test out PDF functions and got the test in the PHP online manual working. I had one problem whereby the example refered to Times New Roman - I didn't have this, but I did have Times-Roman which worked. My question - How do I know what fonts I *do* have available? I've run phpinfo() and gd_info() which I hope is enough to tell some wise person...

Is there a web source where I can find fonts and their support by the various browsers? If not, is there a Times Roman or Aster or Baskerville etc. (all more or less the same), look-alike font that all / most browsers support? Many thanks, Adrian.

I am interested in writing an application to install fonts on our web server. Currently, when the server is rebooted, one has to remember to run an asp page that has the code built into it to install the fonts. I would like to right a .Net program that runs at startup to do this. So far though, all I can find to do this are references to the PrivateFontCollection. This appears to make fonts available only to the application and not to...

I have a question for all you Pythoneers out there. I'm making a game with Python, and have a need for fonts. I am currently using a free TrueType font, but am considering switching to a bitmap font instead. Let's say I own a font, and use it in a paint program to 'draw some text' on a picture that I slap up on the Internet. Everything's probably fine, right? But what if I draw some text on a bitmap on the hard drive, add drop shadows...

Hi, I have installed a truetype font (.ttf) on a linux machne (SUSE linux 10, KDE) by copying it to my .fonts folder. I can use the font in all applications like open-office and firefox browser. However, I cannot use the font in a python app that I am writing. The list returned by Tkfont.families does not contain this particular font. Any suggestions ?

Hi all Have a customer that wants a specific font included in her web page design; Comic Sans MS. This is one of the MS core fonts. The problem I have is that some of the *nix browsers do NOT include these fonts by default. http://www.diamondvet.com/test renders those fonts correctly using an XP box. After I installed those fonts on my machine, firefox and mozilla both rendered them correctly. So here is the question:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
