I believe that you will have to get into JavaScript or VBScript to do what
you want unless you want to use ASP.net and repost the page when the user
interacts with your web page. An alternative, I guess would be to have
several web pages and redisplay each page when you want to change something.

Note that HTML code can only be used to display a web page. You have to
interbedd a Scripting language to interace with the user other than to jump
to different links.

Hi all, I am currently developing a website for a voluntary organisation. It is my first step in website development. The dynamic menu I developed has some bugs, which I addressed in another post. In this post I want to ask you why my code behaves differently in IE, while it behaves like I expect in Mozilla and Opera. What I would like to see addressed is what I need to do to get the same behaviour in all 3 browsers. I know each browser...

Is there a way to modify the standard context menu shown when someone right clicks in a windows text box and that would work for all open windows applications? The standard context menu for a text box has 6 items, undo, cut, copy, paste, delete and select all. I would like to add one additional paste menu that opens a new sub menu with several optional text items that could be pasted. The items would be populated by my program but...

BecauseI am just learning javascript, I did not want to try to modify the code without a little help. When you place the mouse over the menu bar, this script calls the function to show the menu. I would like it modified to hide the menu when the mouse is removed. Please help. The...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
