VS 2005 baffled at step 1

Rob
I have been using VS 2003.... just installed VS 2005....

In 2003, if you want to create a Web project, you open Visual Basic Projects
| ASP.NET Web Application....

How do you begin an ASP project in 2005 ?

Well, we can agree to disagree. I do not and will not agree
with you.

Why don't you post your friend's name from Microsoft? Because
we all think it's like when you say something like, "Uh, my
friend has a problem and I need some advice to give him."
Your friend. Yeah, right. Sure. Whatever you say.

just because you don't have a CLUE it doesn't mean that I'm trolling;
and it doesn't mean that I'm incorrect.

I heard it from a friend that works at Microsoft; that MS is going to
discontinue VB and that Vista doesn't currently support VB 2002, 2003
OR 2005.

Vista does support VB6; but MS hasn't sold any VB6 development tools
for the past 4 years

I would reccomend using Dreamweaver and PHP

Since MS has published instructions on how to install VS 2005 (including VB
2005) on Vista, and the VS 2005 SP1 was apparently delayed to ensure it
works on Vista, I second Robin's request for you to divulge your source,
either by a name (which can be verified with MS) or a MS public statement.
If you can't do either, go back to your cave.

Do you really think that Aaron would publish his friends name on the
internet? Wake up guys, luckily both Aaron and I have friends at
Redmond. If we publish their names they would get in trouble for
leaking the info about VB being dropped.

I'd be surprised if he knew about that article.
Those two guys who are trolling here just want
everything to go back to VB6, and will make up
anything to try to convince people to do that.
They don't get that sometimes, whether you like
it or not, you just have to move forward, and
that there's nothing they can do to *make* Microsoft
get rid of VB.Net and return to enhancing VB6.
All they're doing is irritating people in this

Robin;

yeah; I would like things to go back to a simpler day.

Back then; I used to use ONE LANGUAGE and now Microsoft demands that I
use THREE.

I am pissed that Microsoft isn't pushing vbScript CLIENSIDE - in the
browser-
I am pissed that 2/3rds of the examples I find are only in C#
I am pissed that Microsoft is backtracking on the DAO/ADO thing in
order to placate some DAO dipshits

I am pissed that microsoft IS RELEASING A NEW VERSION OF ADO AFTER
SAYING FOR YEARS THAT IT WILL GO AWAY

All I know is that I used to be able to take code from Excel and paste
it into a DHTML page... I can't do that any longer

I used to be able to re-use the same code in 10 different places

and now, MIcrosoft is making me use THREE DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

I dont want or need RegEx; I dont want or need XML.. and I dont want or
need ADO.net.

What I need is a simple platform with A SOLID TEN YEARS OF ROADMAP AS
OPEN PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE.

MOVING FROM ONE LANGUAGE TO THE OTHER; AROUND A COMPANY THAT _LIES_ AND
_CHANGES_COURSE _EVERY_OTHER_YE AR

I mean.. why did they take away rst.movenext in ADO.net?
why can't I keep a connection open?

WHY, OH WHY OH WHY?
