.NET 2005 connection/database wierdness

Hello,

Not sure what is going wrong here.
I just upgraded to .NET 2005 and SQL Server Express 2005 from .NET 2003 and
MSDE.
I've been working on a huge project for ages, which I 'converted' to 2005.
Now I can't figure out what's wrong.
It's like I have a snapshot of the original database, and that's what I'm
working with.
If I open up a form, edits fields, and save, close the form and reopen - all
is fine, my new data is there.
But if I close down the whole program, then reopen - it isn't there.
Also, when I go into SQL Management Studio Express, the newly saved data
isn't there.
And if I make changes directly in here, they never show up in my project
where they should.
I'm completely baffled.
This stuff all worked fine before I upgraded.
Any ideas what could be wrong here?
Thanks!
Amber

Is it possible to connect to a SQL 2005 Express db using Visual Basic 2005 Express? I cannot get past the connection.open statement without the error "...Version=2.0.0.0; SqlClient.SqlClientPermissions; PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 failed." I have WinXP, SQL Express 2005, and VB 2005 Express all on same machine. I've found hundreds of samples and tried most of them, but still get same error.

I recently installed SQL Server 2005 (Management Studio Express) along with SQL Server 2005 Express (Configuration Manager) in my Win2K Pro m/c & use IIS 5.0 to run ASPX projects. I could add my database, named "MyDB", successfully. I am using the Windows Authentication mode to login to SQL Server. My server name is "AD\SQLEXPRESS" where "AD" is the name of my m/c. I could even establish a connection to the server & the database from...

I have a strange problem that I think deals with security on SQL 2005. I have a scheduled task that runs on a Windows 2000 machine. It calls a vb script which creates a connection to SQL Server. We migrated a database from SQL 2000 to 2005 which is on a different box. I changed the connection in the vb script to use the new sql server. The original connection to SQL 2000 used the 'sa' account coded into the connection string , which...

I am having a number of problems over the last two full days trying to get an ASP.NET 2.0 application to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database... First off, I built this application w/ Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and had it working perfectly on my Windows XP machine on SQL Server 2005 Express. I decided to publish this application to a test development server (with both the SQL and IIS servers on the same box) running on: Windows Server...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
