VB 2003's icon editor

cj
I've added an icon to my project and am looking at the icon editor
window. I haven't done anything yet. My question is in the top left of
the colors toolbar down the left side of the screen, there are a couple
of selections that look like little monitors. One is white with a red
"screen" and the other black with a green "screen". There is also a
larger figure that contains a black box over a white box. Everything
else in the toolbar are just colored squares to pick a color from. What
are these things?

Also, the Screen Color is used for setting transparency in Icons and Cursors.

Hi - I created an icon in VS.NET 2003. I did nothing more than Project-> New Item->Icon File and then used the paint tools to draw it. Then I saved the file. In Windows Explorer, the icon is not displayed next to the file. Just what appears to be the default icon that appears when you select the Icon File template from the Add New Item...

When I bookmark or add this to Favorites the icon is also displayed at the left of the name of the page. How do I do this? I am using Frontpage 2002, but know how to edit HTML manually. Thanks,

In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
