VB2003 "Start Page" question

Don

The projects that are listed under "Open an Existing Project" on the
"Projects" tab of the "Start Page" do not seem to update correctly
when I open Start, Open or Save a project.

Is there a way to change the projects that appear on this tab?

I've searched the help files several times without finding anything
that seems to be relevant but then VS2003_HELP_STI NKS so I may have
missed something.

Thanks you,

Don

Anyone have any links and/or code samples demonstrating how this can be done? Current procedure is that john doe clicks an item on a datagrid of mine and after however long, gets the info he wants. What I want to do is have a page that pops up "in-between" the two pages. Something that says "Processing Request: Please Wait" or somesuch and have a progress bar or something as well (would not have to be an accurate progress bar, per se)....

In reading some documents from the Patterns and Practices group, I had a question about the example given for the Page Controller pattern. (I have posted the code for the BasePage below) In short, their example shows a "BasePage " class for other pages to inherit from. The subclasses are supposed to implement the PageLoadEvent method (which I guess should really be abstract, but can't because asp.net

Is there a way to set the "start in" folder for a windows service? I am running under the Local System account, and the start in folder seems to be "c:\windows\system32". I use some relative filenames in my application and would really like the start in folder to be something more like "c:\apps\myservice". I've looked at the ServiceInstaller class and ServiceProcessInstaller class but they don't seem to have this option.

I have the following line of code in my start/login page: document.getElementById("txtLogin").focus(); When I run the website app through F5 (Debug, Start Debugging) it works fine (ie, focus on txtLogin). When I run with CTRL+F5 (Debug, Start without debugging) the focus defaults to the URL box. Can anybody unveil the mystery ?

Hi Pals, I want to know about that how IIS Server comes to know about the starting page of any application built in C# or Vb.NET. Though in IDE, we are doing this by right clicking the selected web page from application & choosing the "Set As Start Page". But how IIS Server comes to know about it? I will appreciate if any one...

Hello, what is the use-case of parameter "start" in string's "endswith" method? Consider the following minimal example: a = "testing" suffix="ing" a.endswith(suffix, 2) Significance of "end" is obvious. But not so for "start".

We recently upgraded to VS 2008 and for some reason, the environment does not show "Start Page" in full screen mode even when setting in Environment -Startup is set to "Show Start Page". It does show Start Page in normal mode but not in full screen mode. Does anyone happen to notice similar issue and able to fix it? Thanks, Hetal.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
