Help displaying a bitonal image with antialiasing

I have a series of bitonal TIFF images that I need to display to the user in a form and the image needs to be displayed to fit the
container (PictureBox). I also need to antialias the image for display quality reasons. I can display the TIFF easy enough, and
get it to fit (.SixeMode=Zoom ) but I cant figure out how to antialias it. I know it has something to do with InterpolationMo de
and/or SmoothingMode, but I just can't seem to get the desired effect. I tried applying the InterpolationMo de and/or SmoothingMode
during the PictureBox Paint event :
e.Graphics.Smoo thingMode = Drawing2D.Smoot hingMode.AntiAl ias

e.Graphics.Inte rpolationMode = Drawing2D.Inter polationMode.Hi ghQualityBicubi c

But it had no effect. Can someone point me in the right direction.

TIA,

From: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.imagettftext.php "color is the color index. Using the negative of a color index has the effect of turning off antialiasing." I'm using a bundled version of GD: 2.0.23 compatible. When using the function imagettftext() with a negative color to get a aliased text as stated in the docs the text gets grainy. Not antialised, and not aliased. Something in between (ugly!). I've tried several fonts....

Hey there, Big-time curiosity issue here... Here's the test code (it's not that long)... it's to display a large number of image links with captions, ideally pulled in from an external file (that part's not here -- spotlighting the problem code): --------BEGIN CODE PAGE------------ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

At first I was not certain what could cause Access 97 from displaying most jpeg images, but not all. After further testing, it seemed that all original images of less than 275 pixels per inch or less would display, but those close to 300 pixels/inch or greater would not (MS Access cannot recognize the file format xxx.jpg). The larger, original images were scanned and saved as .bmp (at 300 dpi producing a 15MB file). Then the images were...

I have HTML web page with <asp:Image id=img_L runat=server ImageAlign=Top Visible=True Width=y Height=x></asp:Image>. For some images, less than 128K I can view image. Other image files > 128K, image is not viewable - comes up with X in picture box. Is there size restriction. How can I remove this - or how can I show images > 128K in web page. NOTE: x & y in asp:Image spec are distinct values - say 128 x 128 or 64 x 64 image sizes

Hi all, I have a set of Multipage Tiff documents that are to be sent to a web browser. So, I want to convert them to Gif (or Png) before sending them to the client. Those Tiff docs are bitonal (1bpp) with a 200dpi*200dpi resolution. They don't display very well on the browser (I think resolution is too big and bitonal images are not nice to read anyway ...) So I would like to be able to convert on-the-fly my docs to grayscale gif. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
