C# GDI+ - Convert Bitonal TIFF to Grayscale Gif

1 New Member
Hi all,

I have a set of Multipage Tiff documents that are to be sent to a web browser. So, I want to convert them to Gif (or Png) before sending them to the client. Those Tiff docs are bitonal (1bpp) with a 200dpi*200dpi resolution.
They don't display very well on the browser (I think resolution is too big and bitonal images are not nice to read anyway ...)

So I would like to be able to convert on-the-fly my docs to grayscale gif.

Could someone point me in the right direction ?

I have browsed through Bob powell's GDI+ FAQ but at no avail ...

Thanks,

Guillaume

I have multi-page tiff files. I need to extract individual frames from the multi-page tiffs and save them as single-page tiffs. 95% of the time I receive multi-page tiffs containing 1 or more black and white CCITT4 compressed files (frames) inside the tiff. Every now and then I receive a mixture of black and white CCITT4 and JPEG compressed files, and sometimes just multi-page tiffs with JPEG only. The code runs great when dealing with the...

Hello all I get an image from the file in bitmap format(6 meg approx). What I want to do is first change the image to grayscale, reduce the dpi to like 150, and then change the format to tiff, or maybe a jpeg at reduced sizes. Has anyone done this or has pointers for the same. Currently I am experimenting with

In C#, I am able to successfully stream a TIFF image that comes from a BLOB field in a database, save it to file, then convert the pages within TIFF file into jpegs (using GDI+) and display on the web (using ASP.NET). However, when I generate the Image object using FromStream (passing in the MemoryStream containing image bytes), an exception of "A generic error occurred in GDI+" is thrown when performing the conversion/save for display....

I have a series of bitonal TIFF images that I need to display to the user in a form and the image needs to be displayed to fit the container (PictureBox). I also need to antialias the image for display quality reasons. I can display the TIFF easy enough, and get it to fit (.SixeMode=Zoom) but I cant figure out how to antialias it. I know it has something to do with InterpolationMode and/or SmoothingMode, but I just can't seem to get the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
