I have a login form that uses the post method to carry the
information to the next page. The form works just fine in
ie6.0, but fails in mozilla and fails in ie5.2 on a
mac. "HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request" was the original error msg
now that I reinstalled iislockdown and urscan I get "The
parameter is incorrect." If I use the get method with this
form it works just fine on everything. I can't say for
certain but I think this problem started...

I'd like to use regular expressions to remove extraneous Carriage Return
Line Feeds (CrLf) from a textarea before the form is submitted.
I'd like to remove all trailing CrLf's and convert all instances of 3
consectutive CrLf's to just 2.
I first escape() the textarea and match "%0D%0A" (i.e. CrLf).
Here's what I've been testing; watch for word-wrap:

If I invoke a web service, and it throws an exception, I can see the
exception if the client app is a .Net app. However, if the client app is
not a .Net app, I only receive the HTTP 500 error. I believe this is due
mostly to the fact that the non-.Net apps are using POST instead of SOAP. If
the non-.Net apps were using SOAP, they too would in fact "see" the
exception. Is this true? Thanks!

Hi.
I am trying to get through to Microsoft MapPoint Services using ZSI for
soap handling. I can generate the service classes and also the
soap-requests generated by the service classes seem to be OK. The
problem I am facing is that I can't seem to authenticate myself. I have
made a small change to ZSI.client so that when I get a "401
Unauthorized" response from the remote server I build up a nice
authorization request:

Device connected to serial port accepts data packets in the form
02 0x57 ll ll 00 00 00 00 dd..dd cc cc
02 (1 byte ) is message prefix
0x57 (1 byte) is message type (W=Write)
ll ll ( 2 bytes) are message data length
00 00 00 00 (4 bytes) seems to be constant zero bytes
dd..dd ( ll ll bytes) is message content which I can vary.
cc cc ( 2 bytes ) is problebly message checksum

All,
When I use system.IO.StreamWriter to write append a string to file that
contains the GBP pound symbol, I notice that it also appends an extra
character before the pond symbol. Yet when I examine the string character by
character in the command window, the extra character is not there.
For example:
Dim Line As New StringBuilder

Hey guys, here is something interesting. Let say you want to read the below hexdump.txt into a Array() the way it appears on the screen. But for some reason, php keep removing the extra spaces.
So the first line will be read as:
78 29 0D 0A 20 20 7B 0D 0A 20 20 20 20 24 73 74 // x).. {.. $st
Instead of (which is what I want):
78 29 0D 0A 20 20 7B 0D 0A 20 20 20 20 24 73 74 // x).. {.. $st

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
