Hi,
is there any way to programmatically limit the network traffic received
on a network adapter in C# ?
I need to simulate different speeds over an ADSL connection and run
tests covering speed limits from 1Mbps to 8Mbps on a single machine. So
far I found a shareware (NetLimiter) that pretty much covers my needs,
but I'd rather find a programming solution I could include in my
testscripts.

I have this problem,
I have developed a Master - Slave kinda appliacation , were the slave
is generally a device.when i broadcast a message from my application,
the Device seems to recieve the message and responds correctly, and
replies with a broadcast frame. Here is where i face the problem, what
happens is that my application seems to Time out even if Ethereal (
Network Sniffer ) detects and shows all the frames that were

Ive been experimenting with ways to discover computers on the network.
Most of what I have tried is centered around looping through our network
address ranges to discover the names of the computers up and running on
the network.
I have tried this using UDP sent to port 136 and retrieving the name of
the machine. I have also attempted doing this using WMI.
The problem I had with UDP is that it isnt reliable, and can be quite

hello, i still cannot network my new vista cpu with my other xp computer in my house. on Network Connection on vista the "View Map" it sees both computers but its not hooking them up, can anyone please help me. I even dled a new LLTD on the XP, and network discovery is on the vista. My XP has internet but cant seem the network to wrok, anyone have some ideas please?

Enable and Disable in the Network and DialUp Connections manager is actually
setting a bit in the registry for the target adapter and then calling NDIS
to unbind or bind (depending on whether your disabling or enabling the
adapter).
In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\NdisPower insert this value to disable the
adapter:
<adapterNameREG_DWORD 4 (0x00000004)

In Device Manager under Network Adapters, nearly all (about 20) items have a
yellow warning symbol. The first item, Microsoft 6to4 Adapter says driver is
up-to-date BUT says "This device is not working properly because Windows
cannot load the drivers required for their device (Code 31). Similar message
in all other 20 items under network adapters. Have checked for solutions -
send data to Micosoft- but so far no solutions. Any help please?...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
