Hi,
I created a COM AddIn for Word that performs the functions
that it needs to, but I needed to add the ability for the
toolbar created by the COM AddIn to remember it's last
position and whether it was docked or not. I added the
following code to my "OnConnection" function but it fails
with an error, "Run-time exception thrown :
System.IO.IOException - Bad file name or number."
With applicationObject.CommandBars("SampleToolbar")

Hi. I know the basic way to assign event handlers:
<input onKeyUp="processEvent(event)" />
But how do I assign a function to the onKeyUp event in *javascript*
that can access the event object?
// get inputElement
alert("Some java script code");
inputElement.onkeyup = ????;

I have problem to get onkeyup event. If we put the event in HTML
statement like -
"<input name=field1 size=16 onkeyup="javascript:function1();>"
it works.
If we put in JavaScript code like this
var oElmt = document.createElement("input");

First of all, I'm an Asian and I need to input Japanese, Korean and so
on. I've tried many PHP IDEs today, but almost non of them supported
Unicode (UTF-8) file.
I've found that the only Unicode support IDEs are DreamWeaver 8 and
Zend PHP Studio.
DreamWeaver provides full support for Unicode. However, DreamWeaver is
a web editor rather than a PHP IDE. It only supports basic IntelliSense
(or code completion) and doesn't have anything...

Everywhere I go (read/browse) I see these parameters....
ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs
Yet I never see them used within the function/method.
Could someone tell me what they mean/do please.

I have a usercontrol that contains the following.
To my surprise the form containing this control get KeyUp events.
Help says that for KeyPress setting e.Handled = True suppresses KeyPress
events but say very little about KeyUp.
What does setting to Handled do?

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I am hoping that there is someone here who can help me.
I have an ASP page that has javascript that works perfectly in IE, but not in Firefox. Can anybody tell me how to get it to work in FF. I can insert a browser identifier and redirect if the script has to change for FF only.
Basically, when a vistor goes to the page they are asked to click on images to chose the top 3 that they like - the images...

Hello,
I know I sound like a one-note Johnny on this but I'm still looking for a
solution. I need to display characters coming in from a serial port or a
socket. I also need to be able to type characters into the display myself -
but that's not the main issue at this time. I've tried a scrolling multiline
text box but once the original viewable area fills up and it starts scrolling
the flashing of the entire area drives me nuts. The...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
