Check web page loading time

How to write a program that can check the web page loading time?

Before I have written a browser that use IE as the core, but it does not
support frame. Since the documentcomplet e event will trigger if the frame is
completed. So i don't know how to get the time for the whole document
complete.

Or beside the browser, any other method to do this.

Thank you.

Do you mean you made a complete new browser or did you use AXwebbrowser
AXSHDOCVW or use IE SHDOCVW

With AXwebbrowser it is a frame complete document.comple te and the page
complete navigate2.compl ete

I hope this helps?

Cor,
I use the AXwebBrowser
That mean when the frame complete, it will trigger document complete.
But if the whole page complete (include all the frame and iframe), it will
trigger navigate2.compl ete?
Is that Right?

HK,

I am quiet sure that the documentcomplet e is a frame or when one complete
page as document a page.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ntcomplete.asp

Because of the text I start doubting about the navigatecomlete 2. And it is a
while ago I used it.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ecomplete2.asp

This one you can use as well when there are some pages which are not written
as they should be.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...adcomplete.asp

I hope this helps?

Hi, I created an image gallery which displays 63 images in a slideshow. The problem is that the show was slow because each image loaded one at a time during the show. No problem right? I just did a preload script. But then the user has to sit for 5 minutes waiting for 63 images to download! My images are about 640x480 and average 100kb. Is this too much for one page to load? Should I load my slideshow into differerent windows? If so,...

I have a dynamic page in my program that loads survey questions with a text field for the question and up to 10 answer fields inside a panel, each question/answer has a check box to display the answer in the survey or not. Each question will only show one extra text field for additional answers at a time until 10 answers have been reached ie: if 6 answers are filled in, then a 7th one will be empty, 10 answers, no extra text field. The...

I checked the error log and seems there is no specific error message corresponding to this problem. Anybody has the similar experience? Any...

Hi We have just re-written a majour asp.net project to use a user control embedded in a web page. The main dll references 3 other custom controls and so to deploy the project I copy the 4 dll's to the server and the web page loads the control via the <object> tag. I have also added a iexplore.exe.config file (because of another thread) where I specify that .net v1.1 should be used. (The controls have been developed in VS2003) I have also...

I have been experimenting with VWD Express Extension 3.5 and noticed that quite often it takes up to 1..2 min to load external js or css files. This occurs often after rebuilding the site. The problem seems to be linked to retrieving small ( approx 200 bytes) graphics files, as evidenced in Firefox' Firebug tracing graphics. Currently, the script manager is included in the master page, the external js file in the header section, and the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
