Hello,
I got my hands on the PDC preview version of whidbey and I think I managed
to break the compiler/runtime with my first Generics/Iterators attempt. The
reason I am posting it here is that I might be wrong, in which case, please
correct me!
The following program prints garbade instead the intended 5,6,1. I think it
is printing the integer values of the pointers which represent some
references... Any ideas?

Hello All,
Is it perfectly ok to install the Whidbey ( PDC preview version) into my
pc which already contains both ASP 1.0 and ASP 1.1 (without affecting
my current web apps) ?
Just want to hear from you first before I install this.
THANKS A MANY!!

Just got my hands on Whidbey. Here are a few interesting changes that you
may not be aware of:
1. Continue statement on Do, For and While commands
2. Default Instances of certain classes are back (such as forms).
3. Properties can now have mixed access levels. For example you can
declare a property like this:

I just saw an intro video on Whidbey Alpha from
http://www.learnvisualstudio.net/shortcut/0806c.htm.
I am sort of aggravated with Microsoft in that no one can ever become
proficient with your tools because you change them so much with each
version.
The demo said, ASP.NET now has code behind separation files that are just
all in the same file---sounds like to me that that isn't code separation and
is just a return to the same as...

My computer was moved last week, and the company changed the network groups
we work on. As a result, one of the main benefits from Whidbey (database
connectivity) no longer works.
Situation:
1. I open a new project based on a windows form
2. I click on "data" and then "Add New Data Source" then I click on next
within the wizard
3. I have 3 choices Database, Local Database, Web service and Object.
4. I choose Database, click next and get...

For the first time, I'm attempting to write a small Javascript program
using one on the online reference sites. I need some confirmation as
to the behaviour of the break statement.
In the following code:
for ( row = 0 ; row <= 7 ; row++ ) A <----
{
for ( col = 0 ; col <=7 ; col++ ) B <----

Every time the function below is called I get the alert. So I put a
deliberate error in there and I check the value of
(reportType=='MANDATE') in Firebug, which is found to be true. But
still the alert comes up. Why?
I checked the following watch expressions at the blah blah point.
id = 5843
reportType = "MANDATE"

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
