Safe Printing over Internet Zone

Has anybody been able to get Safe Printing over the Internet Zone
using the default permissions?

I have tried a few methods, but was not able to get it working unless
I set the Printing permission to All. Unfortunately, this is not a
valid solution. I need to get this working with the default Internet
Zone permissions.

Thanks,
Jody

I am trying to find the definition of "Safe Printing" and cannot find out exactly what this entitles. The reason is that I am trying to print contents from a single textbox to no avail using the PrintDialog control under a security setting with only SafePrinting allowed. I have attached a sample project that I am using to try to accomplish this. The print dialog appears, but when I press the Print button, I get an exception (at the end...

I was just wondering if anybody has been able to figure out how to get Safe Printing working over an Internet Zone. Based on what was mentioned from the previous thread titled "Safe Printing", it was decided that this was a bug and that Safe Printing does not work. I just need to verify that these findings are correct. Thanks, Jody

I have a usercontrol that I am trying to use as an ActiveX Control on a WebPage, however it refereneces an Assembly that whenever the first call is made to anything in the Assembly a Security Exception is throw. I am having a lot of trouble debugging this, because I cannot catch the exception in my code. However if I could run the control under the Internet Zone Security settings I could probably find this easily. Does anyone know how to...

Hello, I realise this is not a pure Javascript question, and that VBscript is probably involved at some point, though not as much as I fear. If you opened this item looking for a pute Javascript question, I'm sorry. For an IE6 intranet application I'm running into some problems regarding printing screens from the browser. The specs dictate these requirements:

I'm posting this here as I first found the issue trying to run a 2.0 Framework app on a 2003 server. Background -------------- We utilize a strong name policy sent to all XP machines using group policy. This policy allows us to trust our applications that run from an application server as opposed to having to set the applications up locally on every XP box. We were trying to run an application on a Windows 2003 server from an...

Hi, I often like to include some JavaScript coding in my web pages to make them more interesting. Unfortunately, even when this coding is as simple as a check to see what the display width is in pixels so that pictures on the page can be adjusted to better fit the display, Internet Explorer detects the coding and blocks it. Of course the user can click on the message displayed above the web page to allow "the active component" but many...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
