Hello
I am trying to generate an email to be sent to an operator if a SQL
Server (2000) goes down for any reason. I defined the alert to email
operator for error number "17148" which is "SQL Server is terminating
due to 'stop' request from Service Control Manager.". To test this, I
shutdown SQL Server manually. I see the above error in the...

Hi, I posted this in the GotDotNet .NET Alerts forum, but that was 3 days
ago and still no reply so I'll try my luck here. My apologies if there's a
better group to post this question in, but at last check there was no Alerts
group.
I've been reading through oodles of the SGK documentation for the .NET
Alerts SDK 5.02, and something struck...

Hi,
I have a problem displaying korean characters in javascript alerts.
Korean characters are displayed fine in menus, webpages, buttons, etc.
except in javascript alerts. Can anyone please help me?
By the way, this problem occurs in IE5 only. I have tested in IE6,
Mozilla1.4 and Netscape 6 and this issue does not occur.
Thanks!

I want to copy a database from one server to another. I'm happy about
how to do this but also want to copy a number of DTS packages, jobs and
alerts that relate to this database. Is there any way that I can copy
them or will I need to create them again on the new server.
Many Thanks

Is it possible to disable/suppress alert popups in javascript? I need
to write a function that will loop through a form's inputs and
"manually" fire their onchange events (if found). Some of those
functions could popup alert boxes which I'd like to be able to
temporarily suppress.
Thanks for any help.

I'm using automation for mail merging but the process hangs because at some
stage some alerts may come around!
I have tried:
wrdApp.DisplayAlerts = Word.WdAlertLevel.wdAlertsNone;
&
wrdApp.DisplayAlerts =0;
all I need is to produce a word document and save it in the back end. I
don't need to see the word document while the process is done....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
