I've been asked to help debug a complex problem involving inter-frame
references, so I just want to understand the elements involved with
this.
Apparently, there is a page with multiple frames, where one of the
frames is a "hidden" frame, and is there just to contain one or more
"fields" that are referenced from other frames.
Supposedly, if a user "sits" somewhere in this set of pages for
several minutes and then tries to do...

I am trying to create socket to communicate over TCP/IP.
All works just fine but I need to add some functionnality.
I have 2 network cards on my computer each having one IP
address.
I want the communication to happen on a specific one.
So I do the following:
MySocket = New Socket(AddressFamily.Unspecified,
SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp)
MySocket.Bind(LocalEP)

We're looking at running a memory-intensive process for a web site as a
Windows service in isolation of IIS because IIS refuses to consume all of
the available physical RAM. Considering remoting to move data in and out of
this process. Need something that's quick and dirty and easy to implement,
but that's performant and secure at the same time. Any suggestions /
tutorials? Would prefer not to go on the TCP/IP stack (socket) as it is not...

I am looking for a way of performing inter process communication over
XML between a python program and something else creating XML data.
What is the best way of performing this communication? I could bind a
socket to localhost and perform the data transfer that way, but that
seems inefficient due to the addition of TCP/IP or UDP/IP overhead.
Is there a way to stream data via a custom datastream (I.E. not STDIO,
STDERR, etc)?
Thanks...

Hello out there,
I changed an existing and good working webservice from an wsHttpBinding
to an NetTcpBinding.
This is working (after trying some time) and has real a better performance!
But one thing is strange: when I'm now actualising the web reference
from within VS2008, VS2008
creates a 2nd endpoint config in my app.conf.
The endpoint is exactly the same as the existing but the name and

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
