Hi,
I have a problem and not quite how to go about solving it.
I have a form written in asp. I wish to submit the form and have the server
return back to the same page without actually refreshing the page.
I know I could write a form, submit it and go to another page.
I've searched the web and I see something about HTTP Status code of 204

This may be an easy one (I hope so).
The ultimate goal I have is to be able to use binding redirects that are
specific to secondary appdomains, so that each appdomain can have a unique
configuration.
Here's are the details: I want to force all references to a particular
assembly version to use the latest version of the assembly. I can do this by
adding binding redirects to the app config file and in a test I did it all
works fine.

I am trying to get a total record count on a Acess 97 mdb database. However
I get the following error when I try to load the page:
Provider error '80040154' Class not registered
http://www.assetresearch.com/clog/count.asp
I believe permissions for the IUSR_machine are correct as I am able to add
and delete records from the database through other ASP pages in the site.
Any ideas on what Class needs to be re-registered. If so, how do I...

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any idea how this can be done. I am
trying to show/hide navigation links based on server names or ip
addresses. So if, someone visits a particular url/ip address he/she
sees only a particular set of navigation links. I am sure this can be
done using some kind of Java script or VB script, just not sure how.
I have two servers with different server names and IP addresses. Based
on user's input I need to...

an application, that automates using a website.
An upcomming change, is the introduction of a java webstart file (.jnlp).
The user press this link <a id="dgBoeger__ctl4_Linkbutton1"
href="javascript:__doPostBack('dgMyctl$_ctl4$Linkbutton1','')">Some Text
</a> and the server redirects to "View.aspx" that respondes by writing a
app.jnlp file direcly to Response.Output.
In BeforeNavigate2 I can catch when the link is pressed, but so far...

Hey there. Is there any reason why redirects in my code would cause the
error:
"Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested
page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked."
If that is whats causing the problems?
My code has been uploaded to http://rafb.net/paste/results/NcOw3L40.html

Hi,
I'm writing a program in Visual C# 2005 Professional Edition.
This program connects to a SQL Server 2005 database called
"Generations" (in which there is only one table, called
"Generations"), and it allows the user to add, edit and delete the
various records of the table.
"Generations" table has the following fields:
"IDPerson", NamePerson", "AgePerson" and "IDParent".
A record contains the information about a person (his name, his...

I apologize, but I posted this in the php general forum earlier and
realized that this is the more appropriate forum. Hopefully there's a
coder here who has done this in the past.
I've got code that uses CURL to go a web page to read the data.
When I type in www.website.com, the server automatically adds a
session variable to the url. I need to be able to read that session
variable. Then I will use that session variable to input...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
