SF bug / patch / RFE tracker search?

I know about the script here (append a number to the URL and it'll
take you to the tracker item regardless of whether it's a bug, a
patch, or an RFE):

http://www.python.org/sf/
but is there something similar that *searches* the database across all
three categories (preferably with AND as the default operator instead
of the silly OR that the SF tracker search box uses)?

Not that I know of. The script on python.org tries all three trackers,
and then caches the result for efficiency. Doing the same for searches
would be difficult.

It might be possible to build such a thing on top of the SF tracker
export, at

http://sourceforge.net/export/sf_tra...70&atid=305470

Unfortunately, that feature is broken, as it aborts download mid-stream.

Martin

Hi, I've posted this patch on Source forge : http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1391204&group_id=5470&atid=305470 If you want to update a dictionary with another one, you can simply use update : a = dict(a=1,c=3)

Hi all, I just wrote a wrapper for the Tix.Grid widget (http://www.8ung.at/klappnase/TixGrid/TixGrid.html); I guess I should have searched before, because now I found this has already been done for Python2.5 . However it looks like my version offers some more functionality (and the ScrolledGrid in Python2.5 seems to be broken) than the one I saw at http://svn.python.org/view/python/trunk/Lib/lib-tk/Tix.py?rev=46691&view=auto , so I...

This is such a long posting that I've broken it out into sections. Note that while developing this patch I discovered a Subtle Bug in CPython, which I have discussed in its own section below. ____________ THE OVERVIEW I don't remember where I picked it up, but I remember reading years ago that the simple, obvious Python approach for string concatenation: x = "a" + "b"

How long does it take for a patch at the Python SF tracker to be reviewed and/or committed? I am unfamiliar with how the process works. (I originally submitted a bug report, then figured out how to patch the item in question, and subsequently submitted a patch.) -- Kevin Walzer Code by Kevin http://www.codebykevin.com

Hi, I'm wondering if it is useful to extend the count() method of a list to accept a callable object? What it does should be quite intuitive: count the number of items that the callable returns True or anything logically equivalent (non-empty sequence, non-zero number, etc). This would return the same result as len(filter(a_callable, a_list)), but without constructing an intermediate list which is thrown away after len() is done.

Hi all, I think the latest patch for fixing Issue 708374 (adding offset to mmap) should be committed to SVN. I will do it, if nobody opposes the plan. I think it is a very important addition and greatly increases the capability of the mmap module. Thanks,

Hi all, Personally I know nothing of cross compiling so please excuse my ignorance, if this question is silly. A friend of mine is attempting to cross compile python 2.5.2 onto a MIPS64 box. He is asking if there is a cross compile patch for 2.5.2. Do any of you know where He might find such a thing? Thanks,

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
