I'm new to html and web coding, this is a simple one -
appreciate your help!
I'm attempting to get my browser bar links to reside in a
single .asp file to avoid multiple additions to pages
when I add a page to the site. I've done a lot of
reading and surfing, believe I know how to do it, but
can't get it to work.

i have many *.html* pages with the same header. i wanted to make one
*header* file and put a link to that file in all html pages. So if i
ever need to make changes in the header, i will need to edit only 1
file rather than all pages.
for *.asp* pages this code works fine:-

Hi all,
I hope that someone out there can help me with a problem I have been having.
I have just finished creating a website and have added a header to most of
the pages on my site. The header is included in each page with the <!--
#include file="myHeader.htm" -->, where myHeader.htm is the header file. The
pages with the include directive all have the file extention ".htm".

hi to everyone,
i run front page 2003 on windows xp professional (iis 5.1 installed) with
net framework
1.1 and net framework service pack 1 installed.
When i built a web site (on iis 5.1) using single ASP pages i can see
include pages(either html or asp).
However when i built the same web site using aspx pages i can not see
include pages.
I ' d like to notify that when i publish my site to my web host (which

Hi there,
I have a bit of java script which I would like to include in all of my html
pages.
Is there an easy way to include it with a reference or something.
I don't want to have to copy and paste the code to the top of each page as
if I then change the code I have to go through all pages to change it.

I've come across a very weird problem. Virtual includes work on all my ASP pages on the entire website, including those in subdirectories, yet they won't work on a particular page I created, even though the virtual include statement is copy & pasted exactly as it appears on the working pages.
What would cause virtual includes to work in one page on a website, but not on another?
