I need to be able to pull the current <Title> tag from the header into
the body of the html page. We started coding this with php, and we
were able to get it working. However the entire page is being parsed
and really bogging down the system and the pages load very slowly.
(the system is Dual P4 2.4, 1GB ram, Redhat 9.0)
To fix this we decided to just use javascript, which worked great.
Text loaded immediately. However, search engines will...

I would like to say a few (actually more than a few) words here about some
recent discoveries I have made concerning the interaction of Leo and Python.
If you don't want to hear an inventor enthuse about his work, please feel
free not to read further :-)
There are at least three, no four, no five, no six, no seven reasons why Leo
and Python work so well together. Most are new (in my mind) with the 4.1
release of Leo. The first several...

Is there an easy way to put mail link and http link on a textlabel?
I use pango markup like this : <span foreground="#000099"
underline="single" weight="bold">francis@myemail.ca</span>
but it's not automaticly clickable to open the default mail-client.
And it is not theme-friendly
Is there another way to go that I mist?

Hi All,
This may seem like a stupid question but is there a way to keep text
formatting when you add it to a database? Such as Paragraphs and line
breaks?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I've seen this covered before, but I just don't understand Java very
well. I apologize if this is a repeat.
Basically, I need a text/java style submit form with multiple hidden
fields. It would take the place of the following standard submit
button:
<form action="ProductQuery.cfm" name="LineCode" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="Year" value="#GetProducts.Year#">
<input type="hidden" name="Make" value="#GetProducts.Make#">

Hello,
I have a need to read messages from MSMQ (on the order of 350,000 messages
per day) that have a body that is text-only (not in XML format). There are
3 message formats to select from (XMLMessageFormatter,
ActiveXMessageFormatter, and BinaryMessageFormatter). All samples that I
have found indicate use XMLMessageFormatter, but I am not sure I should use
this because my message is text.
Does anyone know how I should read these...

I have a site that sometimes gets extremely high server loads. I would
like to make it so if the sustained server load is very high (million
page views per hour) then it will switch to text only mode. My question
is, what is the most reliable way to detect page views per hour
programatically. I do NOT want to read the IIS logs. But
writing/reading performance stats from performance counter is ok. I
also do not want to slow down the server...

Hi there
Along with our company's HTML emailings, we also send out a text only
version.
I have seen the T(ext) E(mail) N(ewsletter) Standard at
www.headstar.com/ten/ and am not very impressed. As has been mentionned
before, it seems to go against some of the more obvious rules.
Does anyone have any other resource for creating text only documents

Does anyone know where I can see some asp (vbscript) code to convert a web
page into a text only version, like for accessibility?
Example at
http://wave.webaim.org/report?textonly&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.microsoft.com
My html is stored in a database so it can be easily manipulated, but it is
not XML.
Thanks for any ideas.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
