Looking for the author

Of a very neat little user managemnt system that I found somewhere on
the internet about a year ago. Provides for login, and when the user
logins will redirect him/her to a specified page, which may be different
for each user. Allows user to modify own profile. Requires that
Administrator set up each account. Uses a mySQL database as a backend.
If you think this is your work, please contact me off-line. Thanks.

I've been looking for a script that will create a real-time list of 'top referrers', similar to the links to sites you see on the left of the page at http://www.linkswarm.com. They also have a page http://www.linkswarm.com/referrers/referrers.php which shows all referrers. I'm assuming you'd be able to set filters. There is no signup required, you just link to the site and your site appears in the referrers list, but as a webmaster, you...

I know about hotscripts, so please don’t send me there (been there)... I am looking for a site advertising script in php/mysql, which does all the regular banner rotation and management, and also allows advertisers to come in, register, upload their ad, pay with paypal, and allow me then to validate and start running their ads.

Hi, I'm currently writing a wee library tool in PHP. It generates a few (actually a lot) of temporary files and directories, so I need to setup some garbage collection. I can do this a lot more effeciently from the shell on a POSIX system than writing lots of PHP code, but the former wont to work if someone tries to run it on a different platform. (If on Unix/Linux/... I can use 'at now' to sperate the process group, and use 'find' to...

I am looking for a free (or inexpensive) script to list the book and journal publications created within a college department and be able to sort them by author and year of publication. I've searched http://www.hotscripts.com/ and a couple of other sites with no luck yet. Do you have any suggestions? What would you think a script like that typically be called? Book Collections? Article Database? I think I haven't hit on the right...

Hi there; A while back when I was in Albany, NY, I came across what looked like a really great C++ book for the experienced programmer. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy it and take it with me because I was already carrying too much stuff to fly home with it. Unfortunately, I've been looking online and in every bookstore I come across ever since, and I still can't find a copy of it again. Do any of you know which book this was? Here's...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
