Hmmm, didn't seem to work. I have set session.use_cookies = 1 and
session.use_trans_sid = 1 in my php.ini file. Index.php contains:

<?php
ini_set("session.use_cookies", "off");
ini_set("session.use_trans_sid", "on");
session_start();
$_SESSION = "";
$_SESSION = "";

Hi.
I am having a few header problems at the moment with a login page. I
don't have my headers at the top of the page where I've learned I need
to have them. However, I also know I'm supposed to have the
session_start(); at the top of the page as well. So when you have two
things that need to be the first which do you put first? And if I put
one before the other will that cause problems?
Below is a copy of the php from my page. It...

Hi All,
Just wondering how you go about changing the value of a session cookie
via javascript?
I have a PHP page that sets a session cookie when it first loads. I'd
like to be able to change the value of that session cookie in response
to a button click in a form, without resubmitting the page.
For some reason, the following doesn't seem to work:

Is there a way to get a user control to remember its state across pages? I
have a standard page layout I use with a header and footer as user controls.
Each page uses the same layout by means of copy paste (I hear this will
improve in ASP.Net 2 via master pages).
When I navigate from one page to the next the header and footer user
controls lose their state because they are effectively different instances
of the user control.
Is there...

*Please* help --- I'm tearing my hair out.
I want to use sessionstate in a webservice, accessed from a client, written
in script (JScript, InfoPath).
I have written my webservice (C# .NET). I have marked the method(s) with
EnableSession=true. I have read everything there is to read! I am told that
to reuse session, my client needs to receive a cookie in the header from the
webservice and then pass this back in all future calls. ...

I am trying to pass some info to another page on my site. I set
"session_start()" in page 1, assign a session variable to a value, then
execute a "header('Location: ....')." But on the target page I don't get
any session variable values! BTW, I used a relative location in the
Location header, not an absolute URL. The behavior looks like it started
another session, but it should not have.
Ideas?
TIA,

Hi
i've some web user controls in one folder and web pages in some other
folder.
and i've included header web user control in all my web pages.
and in that user control wrote code to get the logged in user details to be
displayed in header.
In login user control, the logged in userid was stored in a session.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
