I've searched google for this topic and found a few examples, but I
need an example of how to create a semi-transparent, non-intrusive
watermark for images using PIL, something that takes into account the
background of the image when choosing color for the text.
Making a huge white box or just putting a single-color text across the
entire image looks just bad, so if there is a way to create a more
professional looking watermark I'd be...

I have been trying to add a watermark to a jpeg using PIL, but the
watermark has a black box around it. I looked at
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Cookbook/Python/Recipe/362879
and
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/1999-May/003369.html
but I think these only refer to gif or png. I know jpegs really do not

Hi All,
a friend wants to create a PDF (using XSL-FO) that contains a watermark
that covers the entire page.
<fo:block background-image='...'> surrounding the content of the flow
almost works, except that it covers *only* where there is content as
opposed to the entire page.

Hi,
I want to access the high-watermark-vector of a specific domain
controller in the active directory from c#. But I do not know how to
achieve this.
I tried it with:
LDAP://CN=TheDomainController,OU=Domain

I have a requirement for a new website to create an image based web
site.
The site needs to have an administration area where admin can upload
images to be displayed on the site. These images need to be resized and
then given a watermark.
My question is how do you add a watermark to an image???

Hi
I'm would like to use a watermark for a background on my web pages.
I used the style builder in Visual Studio.Net to add this as a background.
It inserted the code in the <body>
The problem is on smaller screens this watermark moves up behind the menu
instead of being centered on the page.
Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem?
Thanks,

Is it possible to overlay a transparent watermark on an image -
dynamically?
I'd like the result to look like this example:
<http://www.cycletourist.com/temp/photo.php>
That is a bit of overkill, but you can see what I mean. The watermark
image (a png image) is included separately below the photo.
I tried using a class from phpclasses.org

Hi all --
I am a long-time C programmer and "medium-time" C++ programmer, but am brand
new to C#. I am creating a simple app using C# and I need help.
The app will display a "watermark" on the screen at certain times. When the
watermark is visible, it will be on top of all other applications. To get
the look I wanted, I created a simple form, imported a bitmap image as the
background to the form, and set the opacity to 15%. I set...

Apparently the Transitional Doctype kills this script because the script
does not make proper use of units like "px".
It works well without a doctype statement. But once someone adds a
transitional doctype, the js script no longer works.
Can someone familiar with javascript bring it up-to-date so that it works
with current doctypes and post it here for others to make use of?
The whole HTML document including the js scrip follows (...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
