accessing Active Directory High-Watermark-Vector

Hi,

I want to access the high-watermark-vector of a specific domain
controller in the active directory from c#. But I do not know how to
achieve this.

I tried it with:

LDAP://CN=TheDomainCon troller,OU=Doma in
Controllers,DC= my,DC=domain,DC =net

to access the domain controller. But when listing the properties of
this entry, there is no property for the high-watermark-vector.

So are there any other ways to access this data?
The reason I am trying this is, that I need to verify whether this DC
already replicated the data from another DC. If you know better ways
to do this, please tell me. :-)

(Sorry for double post) We are investigating the conversion of all our Legacy applications to VS.Net. Most of our applications run as ActiveX Controls hosted in Internet Explorer. This has made our support of the controls for updates very easy as we currently just publish the updated MSI files to Active Directory - we are using Intellimirror and GPO w/ Active directory to update our applications on all of our client computers. The...

I have been toying with the idea of having an Active Directory authentication / authorisation functionality in MS Access; but there is not much useful info around. I have built these functionalities for some applications (JAVA, PHP). The parameters used there are the LDAP parameters for AD: *searchFilter: (objectClass=user) *searchBase: OU=register,OU=applications,DC=inside,DC=mycompany,DC=com *adminPassword: Password

Hello All, I need to integrate my application into Active Directory. My application has the concept of groups, users, and also individual permissions. Users can be part of a group such as administrators, but explicit permissions may also be set. Can active directory handle this too? For example: Administrators can typically add/remove/edit/delete an item,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
