Hi All,
I've got a strange problem in IE that I wonder if anyone has seen
before. Basically, I've got a two window scenario. The parent window
opens the child via window.open(). The child contains a form and
submissions are processed in the child window. When the child window
form is submitted and the results are returned, an alert box is thrown
up via setTimeout("alert(....)", 2000). For some odd reason, when

Hi,
I am trying to validate these values, this seems to work fine for the
phone number and name but I am trying to get the program to fail to
submit and set the focus on the date when 2006 is selected and
submitted.

For that I click on the link "print" and a printer friendly version web page is prepared and popped up.

I am looking for a script that WHEN the IE window is in focus will start a
timer to refresh the page, when the window is not in focus will stop the
timer. When comes back to focus will refresh the screen and start the counter
again to refresh in 1 minute

Up until a few weeks ago, javascript code like
window.open("http://mydomain.com", "windowName");
would always bring my new or reused window to the top, with focus.
Lately, Firefox (Deer park alpha 2) only brings it to the top if the
window is new. If it's being reused, the window does not come to
the foreground (with IE 6 it does).
Is there a new way in Mozilla/Firefox that I can ensure that this

The idea is that, when you hover the mouse over one of the dates near
the top of the page, it updates _both_ the appearance of the map, _and_

Hi,
I've got a Web page which can become a parent window : some links use "window.open" to open the desired link into a new child window.
This parent window has got an auto-refresh functionality (<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60">).
My point is that when I'm looking at the child window, I don't want the parent window to take the focus when refreshing.
Does anybody have an idea ?

I'm not very good with Tk, and I am using a very simple canvas to
