timer to refresh the page, when the window is not in focus will stop the
timer. When comes back to focus will refresh the screen and start the counter
again to refresh in 1 minute

Anybody?

If the user enters improper data in a particular field and clicks the Submit button, the php script has to trap it and return a javascript error message box with an OK button. That part I've already got down. But, you know how in Visual Basic you can set the focus on the offending

How do I deactivate a window using Javascript. For example if I have a window that opens up another window, how do I prevent the user from clicking (doing anything) in the original window until the new window has been closed. Any insight will help. Thank you very much in advanced.

Hi All! Is there a way to reference a window by name without doing something like this: open (, 'windowName'); The open method will open a blank window if there is no window with such a name. I am trying to organise a navigation structure between two windows with content from the same host.. I have been trying the following:

Hi ... here is my situation: I am building an application that is driven by a main menu. When the user chooses an option from the main menu that spawns a new window (or module). From that(or any) module window there is a menu where the user can choose to go to or switch to any other module. So ... lets say that the main menu has 4 options. The user chooses option 1 which will open a new window (replacing the main menu). On that new...

This HTML has a bit of Javascript at the end that puts the initial focus on the userID field. It works great on Windows2000 running IE6, but the initial focus never goes to the userID field on Windows 2003 PocketPC (Windows Mobile) running Pocket IE. <html><head><title>WMS - P280WF100 - Login</title><META HTTP-EQUIV='expires' VALUE='0'> </head> <body> <form name="frmLogon" action='p280wp100' method='get'>

Hi, I'd like to have a rollover like effect when a input field has the focus, any idea of how to do this with just CSS (easy enough with javascript)? What I'm thinking of is having a tips box show up next to the input field, but only when the field actually has focus. I was thinking if there's any way to make the focus apply to a

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
