Greetings,
I'm still something of a newbie to html/php/mysql.
I have a php/html form with several fields of type "input". If the user
enters improper data in a particular field and clicks the Submit button,
the php script has to trap it and return a javascript error message box
with an OK button. That part I've already got down.
But, you know how in Visual Basic you can set the focus on the offending

I've a problem I hava a page with different popup windows,
when I hit a link the first one pops up and with the first open i would like
to hit the second link in the parent page so the second links pops up a
window in
the first popup. The way I have it now is working but with each link the
size
of the popup window should be different but that doesnt happen how can I
solve that problem?

How do I deactivate a window using Javascript. For example if I have
a window that opens up another window, how do I prevent the user from
clicking (doing anything) in the original window until the new window

driven by a main menu. When the user chooses an option from the main
menu that spawns a new window (or module). From that(or any) module
window there is a menu where the user can choose to go to or switch to

I can use the following code to set focus to standard html elements
but if I try to do the same for a custom element, it seems to complain
that it does not support a focus method. Does anyone know what is the

This HTML has a bit of Javascript at the end that puts the initial
focus on the userID field. It works great on Windows2000 running IE6,
but the initial focus never goes to the userID field on Windows 2003
PocketPC (Windows Mobile) running Pocket IE.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
