Has anyone tried zend studio 5.1 standard or 5.1 professional? If so
would you recommend me buying it? yes? no? why? Please I will greatly
appreciate all of the feedback possible.

Though the price is steep, Zend Studio is by far the best PHP IDE. If you
already have an older version, it will probably not be worth the money,
unless you really can't do without the new features. The only features I
cannot do without is the ability to "mount" ftp dirs, and the excellent
code completion. I'm on version 5.0.0 now, for writing PHP5.

Is it true that the standard edition doesn't support MYSQL? That you
have to buy the "Pro" Edition for it?

Download it and try it, you get a trial period... That way you can
evaluate if it meets your needs. You could also check the zend.com site
and read the product descriptions...

Thank you so much for your valuable input. But just another question Is
it true that the standard edition doesn't support MYSQL? That you
have to buy the "Pro" Edition for it?

I'm not sure if you can access MySQL in the standard edition as I use
the "Pro". However IMHO I don't really like the MySQL support anyways
and don't even use it. I was excited when I first heard about MySQL
support but once I tried it, I just went back to using phpMyAdmin.

I do however recommend using Zend Studio as it has made my job a whole
lot easier.

I am attempting to install the Zend Studio Server on a normal installation of MacOS X 10.2.8. I have downloaded ZendStudioServer-3.0.0a-Darwin-ppc (evaluation copy) and have gotten part way through the install script. The problem appears to be with installing php 4.3.2. MacOS X only comes with php 4.1.2. When it asked for my apache config directory, I entered:

I have lines of code that look like this: while ($row2sx = mysql_fetch_array($result2sx)) { Now that's the way I've always learned to create an array from a mySQL querey. I just started trying the Zend Studio (and to be honest, except for the debugger I'm seeing that it has less features than EditPlus.) And the debugger calls all my WHERE() functions bugged because I'm

Evening folks This has probably been asked before so apologies for that. I'm using Dreamweaver for PHP and have been for nearly a year. I've done some stuff that I'm very happy with but I'm getting to the stage where it doesn't go far enough. I want something that will still automate a lot of what I do rather than having to hand code 100%. Someone suggested Zend and I wondered what people here thought? andy

Hi all, At work I'm using Zend Studio 3.5.2 to develop PHP files on my Win2K desktop machine. I've got Zend Studio setup with a secure FTP (SFTP) connection to a RedHat Enterprise Linux machine. The files I'm editing 'live' on a Solaris machine and the linux machine mounts them through NFS. I actually access the files through a symbolic link to the mount point on the linux box. A little complicated I know, but it does work. I've been...

Hi... OK...I'm having difficulty understanding a problem with installing Zend Studio 5.5 on an Intel Mac. Prior to the install, I had the zend /library installed, and was able to successfully run Zend_Db commands against a local mysql server (5.1) from the commandline (e.g. php testdb.php). This stuff ran just fine. The code is simply:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
