[Q] Installing Zend Studio Server 3.0 on MacOS X

I am attempting to install the Zend Studio Server on a normal
installation of MacOS X 10.2.8.

I have downloaded ZendStudioServe r-3.0.0a-Darwin-ppc (evaluation copy)
and have gotten part way through the install script.

The problem appears to be with installing php 4.3.2. MacOS X only comes
with php 4.1.2.

When it asked for my apache config directory, I entered:

/etc/httpd

After it apparently tries to install php 4.3.2, I get the following
error message:

x Zend Studio Server installation was NOT completed successfully. x
x x
x Broken Apache configuration: The needed directory: x
x /etc/libexec/httpd x
x where Apache modules should be placed could not be found. x
x The installation cannot proceed. x

One more question...I assume I will be able to make full use of this
from a non-admin account...

Anyone have any suggestions?

By no means knowledgeable about MacOS X, but wouldn't the obvious
route be to upgrade to current PHP outside the Zend installation, and
then reattempt Zend?

Hi all, I'm using Zend Studio 3.5.2 on a Win2000 machine to develop PHP code on a RedHat Enterprise Linux server and I'm using Secure FTP to move the files back and forth between the server and Zend Studios edit buffer. This works fine and hasn't been a problem. However, last week the PHP files I was working on were corrupted and turned...

I'm looking for some feedback on Zend Studio (professional). I'm considering a license and was wondering what other PHP developers experience was. I am not related to Zend or any other organization; I truly am looking for honest feedback of users. I usually build basic news sites, some web services, simple stuff by far. I'm not a big fan of...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
