Anyone knows a technical comparison of IPB and VB and UBB?

I don't care about money. I want the best board: low CPU/memory take. Low
MySQl usage.

I have heard that PHPBB is the worst if you know PHP and read the codes. So
I pass on that one.

Can anyone who knows PHP inside out tell me the technical comparison of IPB
and vB and UBB? Which one is the fastest? Which takes the least MySQL
update? Which one can handle the largest BBS?

I mean no offense, but if you are so bold to say you don't care about money,
then you should care about ease of use.

If you trully do not care about money, take this advice:

Look for the best features/ease of use
Take the excess money you have and build a better machine to run it on.
Perhaps a dual cpu with a couple of gigs of ram?

Hmm, or run a two servers, one with the database, GigE between them, and
quad cpu's on both with 4 gigs of ram on each, oh, and a raid 5 system on
each machine with 1 gig cache ram on raid controller.

Them cpu/mem use becomes a non-issue,

Just my 2 cents.

Decompilation is the process of recovering human readable source code from a program executable. Many decompilers exist for Java and .NET as the program executables (class files) maintain much of the information found in the source code. This is not true for machine code executables however. In recent years decompilation for machine code has moved from the domain of crackpots and academic hopefuls to a number of real technologies that...

(The "C++ Grammer" thread in comp.lang.c++.moderated prompted this post). It would be more than a little bit nice if C++ was much "cleaner" (less complex) so that it wasn't a major world wide untaking to create a toolchain for it. Way back when, there used to be something called "Small C". I wonder if the creator(s) of that would want to embark on creating a nice little Small C++ compiler devoid of C++ language features that make...

Hello, I was trying to see what the main differences are between Java and C+ +. If you were going to learn to program your first language other than Basic, which one would you choose? Websites that compare the two use very technical descriptions. I'm trying to get a more general introductory idea to the main differences.... something like "C++ runs faster, but Java is easier to learn" or "Use Java for web-enabled programs, use C++...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
