"shopping cart" script

Hello all..

Im a beginner in php and looking to do something similar to a shopping
cart system. I want users to be able to view profiles on people and
be able to add them to the "shopping cart" until they decide they are
ready to send a mass email to all the people in their cart. They will
be able to view the people in their cart, add and remove as desired,
and then simply fill out a form and the message will be mailed to all
those in the cart.

I was considering modifying an existing shopping cart script to fit,
but would like a more experienced opinion first.

Thanks
Rob

Hello, I'm looking for a script/class that helps you setup rules and dynamically configure products (like a computer). This is kinda the "Dell.com" style of computer shopping. I've found the following: http://www.esvon.com/pg/products/p_config/ http://www.x-cart.com/product_configurator.html

Hi, I am trying to write this program to get this shopping cart to work. I need to use the calc function to determine the option prices, using the selectedIndex property for each dropdown list. This is what I have so far, I started with if statements, but I think i need to use a for loop, because of the array. Any help would be appreciated....

Hi, Thanks David and I got that to work, I guess I still need to get it to work using the arrays and the selectedIndex property. I have to use an alert box that shows the total price like: The cost = the base price + RAM price + Hard Drive Price + Operating System Price The cost = the base price + RAM price + Hard Drive Price + Operating...

Hello all, I might be missing something here, but am trying to understand the difference between using application-level variables--i.e. Application("MyVar")--and global variables--i.e. public myVar as string, etc. It seems to me that the scope and duration are the same, as they both are there while the application is running, and both go away...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
