Creating remote connections..

82 New Member
I have perl script that I am testing on a remote server. I am using the Putty utility to connect to it. I am then attempting to do two things.. 1- Connct to a remote unix server that is on the network share and 2- Connect to (if possible) the local machine that I am working on (Windows box).

Any suggestions?

Hi, Using MS Access, I linked a database to outlook contacts. Changes in an outlook contact appear in access database as expected, and changed to the db appear in outlook as expected. If I place the Access db in a shared folder, is it possible to link another PC running outlook to the same db, using a unc (to identify the remote server)?

Hi, someone could help me with this problem when trying to insert a record in a SQL express database? I can view record but not edit or insert. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) thanks

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
