Hi.
I wrote some stored procedures used by a web application. As I am
fairly new to Oracle, I am missing some concepts when creating these
procedures, as a result, the application is suffering from poor
performance everytime I call these procedures. I would like your help
in order to identify potential mistakes when coding these procedures
and I am posting a package and a procedure I use very often on the
system, as an example:

Hi all,
I am interested in extracting the class or jar files which are stored
as java stored procedures in Oracle. But I want to know if these are
stored as references to external files in Oracle database or directly
inside the database. In case if it is directly stored inside the
database is there any way to extract it?. If I can extract these java
files, can these be used in non Oracle applications?

Hi all,
I am in search of any Enterprise level Opensource Project that uses
Java Stored Procedures supported by Oracle. I could not find any by
googling. Can any one plese point me to any such projects?
Actually i'm intereseted in knowing to what extent java stored
procedures are used in enterprise applications. A opensource project
will let me look into the code to get better idea.

I want to know the differences between SQL Server 2000 stored
procedures and oracle stored procedures? Do they have different
syntax? The concept should be the same that the stored procedures
execute in the database server with better performance?
Please advise good references for Oracle stored procedures also.

I was following the thread "Re: Access Treeview - Is it Safe Yet?" with
interest and on reading the post describing Lauren Quantrell's
SmartTree, I've run into something I don't understand: Stored
Procedures. I thought stored pricedures were an Oracle/MS SQL Server
thing and don't know how they work with Access Jet. I've looked at some
of the help on stored procedures in A2003, but really don't understand
what's going on.
