Are my captured TCP, DNS packages flagged as SYN, ACK (etc) suspicious?

2 New Member
Iam really concered about this traffic captured by Wireshark. Since today
I get a lot of TCP packages although no program is interacting with internet.
There are ARP's, SYNs and my computer even sends back a lot of ACK packages. Few Http and DNS were captured aswell.

Source IP's coming among others from
(1) USA Redmon 207.46.198.220 (Microsoft) *maybe abused
(2) UK 94.236.15.26 (rackspace.com)
(3) USA New Orleans 66.157.50.237 (BellSouth.net Inc.)

I attached one jpg for a quick overview and one zip file including the complete
capture.

I've to mention that iam not a network adminstrator. This is my private family
computer located behind an ethernet router.

Hopefully there is a harmless reason for this suspicious capturing.

Kind regards,
watreen

I think I found out what's causing this traffic. I found some link refering to a weather radar website. That lead me to my gadgets on Windows. After closing them I didnt found any traffic going on between my computer and other network adresses. Just to be on the safe side I will do tomorrow again some monitoring.

In the PyKyra example programs what does the statement: "from PyKyra import *" I now assume that this represents a Package hierarchy and not the file "PyKyra.py" as there is none but for Windows 2000 I am unable to determine whereor how the path is represented (registry, environment, etc.). Any suggestions? Thanks,

I have two different Python versions on my Linux system (2.2 and 2.3). I cannot remove version 2.2 because many configuration files of the system depend on this version of Python (and its extensions). Now I want to install extension packages for Python 2.3; if the package is distributed via Distutils, this is no problem: 'python2.3 setup.py install' will do the job (i.e. put everything in the 'site-packages' folder of Python 2.3).

Anyone playing with the CPython interpreter's new command line switch might have noticed that it only works with top-level modules (i.e. scripts that are directly on sys.path). If the script is inside a package, the invocation will fail with a "Module not found" error. This PEP is aimed at fixing that :) Cheers, Nick.

Python 2.4's -m command line switch only works for modules directly on sys.path. Trying to use it with modules inside packages will fail with a "Module not found" error. This PEP aims to fix that for Python 2.5. Previously, posting of a draft version of the PEP to python-dev and python-list didn't actually generate any responses. I'm not sure if that's an indication that people don't see the restriction to top-level modules as a problem...

Hi. My name is Randall and I am from Costa Rica. I have a little problem. I did an application using Perl, DBI and DBI::Oracle, and now I have to upload my application in an Unix server. The problem is that the server doesn't have DBI and DBI::Oracle packages and the owner's server doesn't want to install the packages because he thinks that the installation will change the server configuration, and that server has a lot of web...

According to an online manual: http://www.croczilla.com/~alex/reference/javascript_ref/packages.html#1193137 all the Java API packages in java.* and sun.* are available from JavaScript. There's fine online documentation for java.*, but I can't find any documentation for sun.* Does anybody know where to find such? Also just for Java, where's API documentation for com.sun.media.sound.* etc. which BeanShell's class browser shows me are...

I am trying to capture data in a date parameter query that spans from 1 to 3 months. I have a field that is a checkbox that notes whether or not this data is 'red flagged' (so you know, the red flagged data is end of the month production that is reported in the following months report) I need to capture the red flagged production from the previous month and the production from the entered month(s) not including the red flagged production...

Hi folks, Running Python 2.5 on both a Windows XP laptop, and an Ubuntu Linux 7.04 desktop. I've gotten tired of maintaining multiple copies of my personal modules that I use over and over. I have copies of these files in the same directory as the main program I happen to be working on at the time. I've also downloaded FANN, and want to use its Python bindings. FANN does not seem to build automatically, like wxWidgets

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
