Is there a way to scroll a selected OPTION into view?
I have a combination of text box and SELECT list. A user can key in
text in the text box, and depending on the entry made, the respective
option in the list is to be highlighted. Somewhat like an
autocolmplete... I have been able to achieve this, however, if the
position/index of the selected option is beyond the SIZE of the SELECT
list, then the OPTION positions itself at the bottom...

Hi everyone.
I've been working with VB6 for a while now, I'm feeling pretty damn
confortable with it, but find myself wondering about VB.NET and web
applications. So I thought I'd get my feet wet.
Well - let me tell ya - there's a whole lotta stuff that I need to teach
myself. I have a whole slew of questions - to many and propbably just too
basic to go into here - so I am hoping that someone out there can suggest a
book that I can pick...

Hi ,
I have started developing a database application , I say start as at this rate I see no finish.
I have a windows form which is bound to mydataset table "Companys" and this works great binding the text boxes etc such as ;
txtCompanyTelNo.DataBindings.Add("Text", myDataSet, "Companys.CompanyTelNo")
I then want a datagrid to display a list of contacts for the company, which would be easy if it was a 1:m relationship, but a contact...

Hi!
I have a round area which I want to be able to move the mouse over and fire
off events... how do I do that?
I have drawn a FillPie Graphics and I feel that there has to be a way of
getting to know if the mouse is over that area since I have the coordinates
to paint the Pie but I don't know where to start or what to look for really.
Best Regard

Here is another virtual mode example for the .NET 2.0 framework while
working with the list view. Since you can not access the items collection of
the list view you need to do sorting another way... here is my code on how I
did it to help anyone starting out get an idea of how to use virtual mode in

Have a weird problem. When I open my application within access I
sometimes have to reset the column widiths in the details view because
they reset to zero. When I open the application from access is fine and
the columns stay visable. When I open the application from windows
explorer and access is opened by file type relation, the columns are
reset to zero and I'm unable to reset the columns and there is a grey
box in the area where the...

I have a client who foolishly insists on running my application at 120 DPI.
Many of the forms that look quite acceptable in their original 96 DPI design
format have problems with the form's child controls being place below and to
the right of their designed position, sometimes so badly misplaced that they
are completely out of view. I've done the usual things like set AutoSize to
true and AutoScaleMode to Font and so on but nothing seems to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
