Dear All,
I am using issue tracker architecture and developed business object for my
application. Now, in VS Beta 2, I humbly want to know how i can have same
feature as dataset, in my business object, what i mean is, if you have
dataset object and assign it to gridview, you can add/edit/delete row
(without affecting table) and then post it back to database. Same thing i
want to have for my business object (which is generic collection)...

Anyone up for a challenge?
I've been struggling with this for a few days and was hoping someone could
help me. Pouring through all the messageboards I just can't find the
solution.
We have a GridView that needs to be dynamically designed, depending on what
collection of fields our uses want to edit for their product data. We have
400+ fields of information per product so they're selecting a subset of those
fields to edit.

Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

I figured that I sould search with the datatable.select but how do I access
the datatable of the sqldatasource?

This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please

I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to
communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside
of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but

Been trying a few things but not been able to solve this so far. I have 3
tables:
- source data shown in a paged gridview
- processed data (1 or more records per source record) shown in paged
detailview
- additonal messages ( 1 or more per processed data record) shown in another
non-paged gridview
Selecting a source record will show the relevant processed data and
additional messages. Linking the 3 views was a pain in itself, but I got

I have an asp.net web site which has GridViews on many pages. They are
different except they all have a common Pager Template. On the DataBound
event, I customize this template based on the number of records, etc. This
is exactly the same for every grid so rather than copy and paste this code
in every page, I am hoping there is a way to better manage it. If I had to
make a change to the way the pager works I don't want to go to every page....
