Searching a gridview ASP.NET 2.0

Hello,

How do I search through the gridview? Would I do this at the sqldatasource
level?

I figured that I sould search with the datatable.selec t but how do I access
the datatable of the sqldatasource?

I am using ASP.NET 2.0 with VB.

Thanks for your help

Hi, I have a gridView (grid1), which as a templateColumn. In the template column, I have put in a gridView (grid2) and a ObjectDataSource (objectDataSource2). Question is... I have a GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource. I have a Button that calls GridView.DataBind. I want the row that is selected before the DataBind to still be selected afterwards. This happens automatically if the data doesn't change. But if records have been added or deleted then it looks as if some code is necessary: I've done this by using GridView.SelectedValue to get the key value of the currently selected Row and then by itterating...

Hi, I'm trying to use the sqldatasource control and a detailsview to create a fully functional data entry screen; it's quite easy. I can see the strength of creating a master grid associated with a detailsview that gives you access to the record you choose in the grid. However one of the basic functions of this type of screen is the ability to enter a search term and have the grid display the record that is closest the search term....

Been trying a few things but not been able to solve this so far. I have 3 tables: - source data shown in a paged gridview - processed data (1 or more records per source record) shown in paged detailview - additonal messages ( 1 or more per processed data record) shown in another non-paged gridview Selecting a source record will show the relevant processed data and additional messages. Linking the 3 views was a pain in itself, but I got

I've been googling for some time, and could not find the solution to this problem. I am testing the paging feature of gridview. I have a very simple web form on which the user can select a few fields to be included in the table, which is to be bound to the gridview. The web form looks like so (Don't worry about the stupidity of this web form for now.):

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
