On using the bog standard, cut and paste code
for 'Response.Filter' from the .Net help files - except
changing the write statement a small amount - I find it
works perfectly - the first time. But on a page where the
page length varies - dynamic Datagrid generating varying
length pages, I find that after 3 or 4 pages I
get 'leftovers' from the previous page displays appearing
on my pages. The rendered HTML code ends up with
2 '</html>'...

Hi All;
I need little help.
I have a datasheet form.
I allow user to do 'filter by selection'.
My form contains a column with values.
As user changes selections, I want to
calculate totals. I can do this the
first time the form loads.

I have been trying to get a better understanding of simple HTML, but I
am finding conflicting information is very common. Not only that, even
in what seemed elementary and without any possibility of getting wrong
it seems I am on very shaky ground .
For example, pretty much every book and web course on html that I have
read tells me I must include <html>, <head> and <body> tag pairs.
I have always done that, and never questioned it. ...

Hi,
I have a mail server that generates archives in a directory for every
message sent or received and each archive has an associated XML file
with <sender>, <receiver>, <subject> and other email related tags and
all files have same exact format. I would like to generate reports in
a web page based upon the content of these XML files but not sure where
to start. I know how to make an individual XML file display in browser
by linking a...

Hello,
I have two weird problems here. I have a master page file that works
absolutely fine. When I load it up in VWD, I get a couple of weird (to
me) errors.
First, I get the error "Unrecognized tag prefix or device filter 'asp'"
on the third line shown below...

I need to build a filter that will filter user entered html and which
will allow only certain html tags through (i.e. <IMG>, <SCRIPTand
<EMBEDwould be allowed).
i was going to HtmlEncode the entire user html input and filter out
only what is "allowed".
i need the best way to filter for all possible known xss attacks. is
there anything like this out there already?

Hi,
I have been searching for a good input filter class or how-to guide.
All I found were vague concept descriptions or alpha-release or more than a
year old, dead projects.
Isn't there a comprehensive class to filter user inputs for specific
purposes such as display, sql storage and filter features such as specific
html tags, filter JS, etc etc?

I joined this ng and tried to post my first message that had a small php
code (HTML and all).
my newsserver aioe.net rejected the post saying "HTML Tags".
My message was in text format, not in html format, but it obviously had
html tags.
Now, a php or a perl/ cgi or a javascript ng is always going to had html
tags in posted messages. What is the point in not allowing Html tags?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
