Somebody asked me if it would be possible to add auto-advance to a web
form where there are a lot of repetitive 5 character fields. I took a
look around the web and found a script, which appears to work in the
couple of browsers I tried it in. However, when I look at the script it
appears to have the wrong number of brackets. Then when I changed the
script to the way I thought it should be, it still worked!
I'm totally rusty on...

Hi
Given a form with a date formated text box on it, which will serve as an
input box for dates, how can I write a VBA sentence in order to apply a
filter with that input?
Suppose text box is "TEXT13" and the table field is "Data of birth".
When I run a code like this
DoCmd.ApplyFilter , " = " & "#" &
Me. & "#"

I needed a tool for extracting patches from CVS based on the log
messages. I.e. we mark our fixes and features with a "Bugdb XYZ"
And sometimes you need to move a fix/feature to another branch or maybe
you just want to inspect exactly what changes were related to a
specific bugdb issue.
Now I've searched hi and low for this and I now it's out there
somewhere bleeding obvious - can't imagine I'm the first to have this
thought. I just...

I'm REALLY new to this whole thing, so if you all don't mind speaking in lamens terms for me... What I want to do seems like it should be simple, but I've been searching everywhere and I can't come up with anything. Here's the deal.
I have 4 categories in a table, one of which is "products" where there are multiple entries, I want to create a search which will find one specific product based on a users input. Say for example:

Please look at my newly written class. It is meant to be used to filter
suspicious html input from an online html editor. I need help about 2
things:
1. Does it need to filter more things? Which I think is of course
needed although I don't know where to improve.
2. You see I try to filter any link. If the target address is not
started with "http://" or "mailto:", it will be replaced with an empty
string. But I think the code I wrote can...

I have created an append query that pulls information from one
database, and will append the selected information into a new table.
The fields are setup like 'number' 'category' 'code' 'shares' and
'dollars'. Using the "backend" of this table I can filter the numbers
by right clicking and using Filter For: then enter 1 or 2 or 3 and
this will return results for all information that has 1 or 2 or 3 as a
number.
However, the problem I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
