The experts on this site are more than happy to help you with your problems but they cannot do your assignment/program for you. Attempt the assignment/program yourself first and post questions regarding any difficulties you have or about a particular function of the code that you don't know how to achieve.

Please read the posting guidelines. Thanks.

On a school network, using notepad or wordpad, running windows xp, the system is not allowing a save as FILE.html. it saves as .txt even when set to 'all files' in notepad and 'text only' in wordpad. Im wondering if there is a system setting that is preventing this. In addition, if anyone knows of kid friendly html authoring sites, i would appreciate some links for teaching html. Thanx in Advance

I found the excellent article by Paulo Reichert at http://blogs.conchango.com/pauloreichert/archive/2005/05/21/1459.aspx, which shows how to build a code generator for Visual Studio 2005. I followed this and made a small generator that output a dummy file containing only this: namespace TestNamespace { public class TestClass { } } This works nicely. The namespace and class is available in the project and I can compile it and check that...

I have what seems to be such a simple thing yet I cannot figure out how to do it. I am using a streamwriter to build a text file. At the end of the process I want to open that same text file in notepad so the user can see what was built. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the text file to open up in notepad on the screen. All the processes I have tried opens the file into the filestream again.

I wrote an app that alerts a user who attempts to open a file that the file is currently in use. It works fine except when the file is opened by Notepad. If a text file is opened, most computers are configured to use Notepad to open the file by default and if they are configured to use Notepad by default I want it to remain that way rather than retrieve the text into my app or force the user to use another app to read the file. I'm...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
