Is there any way to find a string representing an object's class,
which will work in Internet Explorer 6?
"typeof" doesn't work -- it returns "object" for all objects:
x = window.open('http://www.yahoo.com/');
alert(typeof x);

I'm looking for ideas how to implement a tool window with several
buttons which, once clicked, should paste certain character in to the
active EditBox in an other window of my application. The problem is to
know which EditBox was focused before the focus went to the tool
window, and then paste the character to the EditBox, but one apparent
solution (logging all Windows events) is too time consuming.

I would make the comportment of the toolbar like a child
window, but having the possibility to move it also
outside the main client area.

Hi, how can I get the current control having the focus for the active window
and be able to SendMessage over so that I can display text on it, eg. display
a string in a textbox. What I want is essentially the same effect as
SendKey().
I am using the Rs232 class for .net from Microsoft where I need to get the
input from the COM port and display the value in the vb.net form. I tried
using SendKey() but it doesn't show the value on the form...

I'm writing C++ code with visual studio 2005, I find when my source
edit view get focused, the property of this class is missing, so if I
want to add a virtual function or a window's message handler function,
I must click in class view.
I want to know that's why, I installed visual.Assist, I don't know if

thread
There are 2 options of solving it.
One, is to find an API function that do it.
Secount, is to find a function that detarmin if a control is focused

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
