Reporting services 2008: Rich Text Control

1 New Member
Hi Experts,

I have couple of questions..

1) Does anybody know if Reporting Services 2008 will support Rich Text control so that it will interpret html tags?

2) Any idea when Reporting Services 2008 is going to be released?

3) We are using Reporting Services 2005..We have a Matrix report...
The problem is the width of the table or the columns do not grow to fit the page. Since the number of the columns is dynamic if it has 2 cols I have so much empy space and if it has 12 columns then it does not fit in one page when exported to pdf....It is really annoying...
Is there any way I can set the width of the columns in the expression depending on the number of columns?

Thanks a lot in advance...

I would like to introduce you officially to my book "Reporting Services in Action" and let you know about its availability. I wrote this book for information workers, system administrators and developers who are planning to leverage Reporting Services to author, manage and distribute RS-based reports. It is a solution-oriented guide that teaches you RS by practical examples. Here are some of the solutions that are included in the book: ...

I am asking this question here because I asked this question in the Reporting Services Newsgroup and did not get an answer. Does anyone know if Reporting Services is intended to work in a client/Server or Local machine environment? Based on what I have seen my guess is yes but that is a guess. In some materal it talks about it running on a web server but my supposition is that this does not necessarily mean that it would not make for a...

Hello, In VB2003 I can access Reporting Services by selecting a New Project option of Business Intelligence Projects. But I don't see an option like that in VB2005. My question then, is if when using VS2005, you can only use the Reporting Services that comes with Sql Server 2005. I have VS2003 and VS2005 on my workstation, and use Sql Server2000 for the datasource. Am I limited to using only VB2003 in order to get Reporting...

I installed just about everything, so I have Management Studio, Report Server, and Business Intelligence Developer Studio. I have succeeded in creating reports in Business Intelligence Dev. Studio, and want to know how to integrate them into my Windows Forms...

I posted a few days ago that it seems to me that the Access 2007 rich text feature does not support: a) full text justification; b) programmatic manipulation. I was hoping that someone might know one way or the other whether that was true or not, or could point me to an article or help text that would. What I have seen so far online and in Access 2007 help seems to confirm the above. But that (or at least (b)) seems incredible that it...

Hey All, Does anyone know of any good reporting engines for .NET? We're currently evaluating Telerik, Reporting Services and Crystal Reports. We need to be able to have multiple input/output formats, drilldown capabilities and it needs to be easy for us and our users to create reports. Any input that anyone has would be appreciated.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
